Steam is a magnificent energy carrier.

In the 18th century, James Watt’s steam engine sparked the industrial revolution and transformed the world. Today, the pressurized steam generated by a boiler drives turbines and all kinds of industrial applications.

In a nuclear power plant, the boiler is the core of the reactor. But where is the water needed to generate the steam? How is the water transformed into steam, and is the steam converted into energy?
