Undoubtedly this sector and specifically the Factory have been my choice and would remain so today.<\/p>\n<p>There are few industrial facilities in the province that allow in a tangible way to act in so many environmental areas in a professional way, which is why I have always greatly appreciated my work.<\/p>\n<p>The day to day in the Environment of the installation is varied and can understand from the control of the impact that our industrial activity generates in the environment, the deployment of the requirements that respond to the Environmental Management System, attention to inspections of organisms, audits, development of training and awareness programmes in the subject or monitoring of projects in implementation that aim to minimize the impact of the installation.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, I carry out activities as a supervisor of a radioactive facility owned by Enusa and as a Transport Safety Advisor for loading and unloading operations at the Juzbado Factory (except class 7) and the Saelices Environmental Center.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The most interesting thing about your work&#8230; any achivement you would like to highlight?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Depending on a productive process is very enriching. At the environmental level it allows working collaboratively in the implementation of improvements in equipment or techniques that minimize waste generation, optimize the consumption of natural resources with the implementation of energy saving measures or improve the control of emissions and discharges.<\/p>\n<p>Always betting on the most environmentally sustainable route for waste management has led us to make cross-border shipments of zircaloy waste (from alloy machining processes or obsolete or rejected elements) to the United States currently or to Canada in the past in order to be able to valorize them, since this management route is not available at national level for this waste. And what was your environment\u2019s reaction to your decision? Well&#8230; what now?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The stability and long-term vision of past times has changed, so it is necessary that we work together to evolve and adapt to new challenges, as is being done at the current time.<\/p>\n<p>Opening up to new productive markets or creating technological agreements in new areas will allow us to continue valuing our knowledge to, based on our experience, generate new opportunities in other areas such as the development of new fuels, decontamination or decommissioning, where there is a high added value..<\/p>\n<p><strong>Would you encourage young people to start a profesional career in the sector?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Of course, performing your work in a key sector for the energy sustainability of our country is a task that directly impacts on fundamental aspects such as helping to combat climate change and energy dependence.<\/p>\n<p>The collaborations with training entities, both at the Vocational Training and the University level, have made many of my colleagues, including myself, work in qualified and specialized positions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What message would you like to convey to the rest of your nuclear partners? I think stories mixed with nature are a good source of inspiration. I stay with &#8220;Pero a tu lado&#8221; (Los Secretos) as a song, it transmits commitment and desire to continue adding. And because of the values it transmits, the film I point out is &#8220;Life is beautiful&#8221; by Roberto Benigni.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Finally, to finish, a wish for the future.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Reflection and responsibility to ensure energy sustainability in our immediate future. <br \/>\nLet us hope that we are able to transmit effectively from the sector to the general society the necessary independence of the value and contribution of the nuclear sector to the sustainable development of society.<\/p>\n<p>For my colleagues, many quality fuel elements manufactured as we know how to do, safely respecting the Environment.
