En secundario se produce vapor, que mueve una turbina, se condensa pasando a estado l\u00edquido, se recalienta y se vuelve a introducir en un generador de vapor para repetir el ciclo.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Se han desarrollado varias formas de producir hidr\u00f3geno nuclear: disociaci\u00f3n termoqu\u00edmica del agua, electr\u00f3lisis de alta temperatura (HTSE), de baja temperatura (LTE) y reformado de metano con vapor (SMR). La electr\u00f3lisis es la separaci\u00f3n de los \u00e1tomos del agua en sus componentes, hidr\u00f3geno y ox\u00edgeno, mediante una corriente el\u00e9ctrica. En t\u00e9rminos t\u00e9cnicos, es una reacci\u00f3n electroqu\u00edmica no espont\u00e1nea de reducci\u00f3n-oxidaci\u00f3n (redox).\u00a0<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Necesitamos dos electrodos (\u00e1nodo y c\u00e1todo) y un electrolito (la sustancia que se descompone, en nuestro caso el agua). En el \u00e1nodo se produce la oxidaci\u00f3n y se genera ox\u00edgeno y protones, que migran al c\u00e1todo a trav\u00e9s de la membrana y los electrones pasan a trav\u00e9s del circuito externo. Es mec\u00e1nicamente estable, tiene una alta conductividad a los protones y es muy impermeable a los gases.
