Many other companies and industries use this methodology, but in the SNE we use this approach as a reference, not only because it defines the way we operate, but also because it is a very useful tool for collective improvement. What happens in our facilities is analyzed, turned into an <strong>action plan<\/strong> and shared so that the whole industry can <strong>share knowledge, examine what has happened and apply what is appropriate<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lessons learned can be translated as knowledge gained about a process or various experiences through reflection and critical analysis of the factors that may have positively or negatively affected a given process. Lessons learned can be used to improve future decision-making, define methodologies or new models of action, identify and correct deficiencies, <strong>highlight opportunities for improvement or propose different solutions to problems<\/strong> that arise.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This exercise must be carried out with total honesty and transparency, always guided by the commitment to seek to be better at what we do. It is important to recognize that mistakes are part of the process, but what really makes the difference is our ability to learn from them. To achieve this, it is essential to incorporate an attitude of deep <strong>reflection and constant critical analysis<\/strong>, allowing us to correct course when necessary and to strengthen our skills and knowledge in the face of unexpected situations.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This way of working and facing reality has led us these days to propose that the lessons learned should be key in the work of recapitulating the terrible catastrophe that has occurred in Valencia. While it is true that now is the time to accompany the pain, to clean up and rebuild, our duty as a society to those affected will not be complete if we do not identify what could have been done differently and better, where solutions need to be applied to increase the resilience of populations and infrastructures, or how to act in the face of extreme phenomena that are no less real and devastating for being rare.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We believe that the lessons learned from the culture of nuclear professionals are profoundly valuable and can be extrapolated to almost everything in life. Reflecting critically on our successes and mistakes will not only help us grow as individuals but can also lay the groundwork and chart a stronger path towards a more resilient future.
