En esta entrevista, Weber repasa los hitos alcanzados por el consorcio desde su creaci\u00f3n en 2021, el papel de Espa\u00f1a en la carrera internacional por la energ\u00eda de fusi\u00f3n y las oportunidades cient\u00edficas, industriales y tecnol\u00f3gicas que abre una instalaci\u00f3n llamada a ser \u00fanica en el mundo.<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong><i>La fusi\u00f3n es una de las fuentes de energ\u00eda del futuro. Limpia, inagotable, segura y abierta a todos sin restricciones geopol\u00edticas<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>International Fusion Materials Irradiation Facility &#8211; Demo Oriented Neutron Source, IFMIF-DONES, es un importante proyecto internacional para la construcci\u00f3n de una infraestructura cient\u00edfica que permita el ensayo y la calificaci\u00f3n de los materiales y otras tecnolog\u00edas cr\u00edticas que se utilizar\u00e1n en el reactor de fusi\u00f3n DEMO y en las futuras centrales de energ\u00eda de fusi\u00f3n. Al frente de este proyecto est\u00e1 Mois\u00e9s Weber, Doctor Ingeniero Industrial por vocaci\u00f3n, como \u00e9l mismo se define. Al terminar la misma, se prev\u00e9 la fase de desmantelamiento, aunque ya sabemos que es improbable que esto ocurra en estos plazos, pues la utilidad de esta instalaci\u00f3n para el programa de fusi\u00f3n, ir\u00e1 seguramente mucho m\u00e1s all\u00e1 y se adentrar\u00e1 en la fase comercial de esta energ\u00eda, en la segunda mitad del siglo. Cuanto m\u00e1s desafiante es un proyecto, m\u00e1s relevantes son sus hitos intermedios. En los \u00faltimos tres a\u00f1os, por ejemplo, se ha iniciado oficialmente la fase de construcci\u00f3n, se han construido los primeros edificios, se ha constituido oficialmente el Programa DONES, se han adherido nuevos socios que han comprometido ya pr\u00e1cticamente el 100% de la financiaci\u00f3n del proyecto, y se ha firmado el acuerdo MIDA (Multilateral International DONES Agreement) entre los institutos representantes de cada pa\u00eds en el proyecto, lo que nos dota ya de una estructura multilateral \u00e1gil y preparada para los retos que llegan. Adem\u00e1s, en el plano nacional, en estos a\u00f1os nuestras administraciones consorciadas nos han dotado de la financiaci\u00f3n necesaria hasta 2029 y desde el consorcio, hemos preparado, licitado y adjudicado m\u00e1s de 200 M\u20ac correspondientes a la primera parte de la contribuci\u00f3n espa\u00f1ola y esperamos que las obras del edificio principal se inicien este verano.
