As we pass the halfway mark of the year celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Spanish Nuclear Society (SNE), this communication aims to provide all members with information about the progress of the various events that have already taken place, as well as those scheduled for the coming months. These events will culminate on November 15 at the Mirador de Cuatro Vientos in Madrid with the grand celebration of our first 50 years, an event open to all members. We will provide more detailed information about this event in future communications.
The events and activities that make up the 50th anniversary celebration are available on the SNE website, under the “50th Anniversary” tab accessible from the homepage. This section includes reviews, photo reports, and more.
Regarding the events that have taken place so far, as many of you already know, on June 7 we held the Institutional Ceremony to honor and thank all the members who have been part of the various Boards of Directors and Working Committees over the first 50 years of the SNE.
At the end of the ceremony, attendees were able to receive a copy of the book Spanish Nuclear Society. 1974-2024. Fifty Years of Life and a Look to the Future. While the PDF version is available on the SNE website, a limited number of printed copies are also available for members who prefer this format. Members in Madrid can pick up their copies directly at the SNE headquarters, and for those unable to access the headquarters, alternative arrangements will be made to fulfill these requests.
We have crossed the halfway point of this celebratory year, but there are still more activities to come as part of this commemoration. We encourage you to continue participating in all of them.
