A stand was placed in the exhibition area, a meeting place for members of the commissions, where they could carry out the activities they had prepared. Surrounded by posters conveying messages of support for nuclear energy, the commissions carried out the following activities on Wednesday and Thursday:
Young Nuclear
The JJNN experience in the #nucleares space focused on networking and playing ‘ bingo nuclear’. This creative adaptation of the traditional card game consists of card with elements from the periodic table (with atomic numbers ranging from 1, for hydrogen, to 99, for einsteinium).
Employment and Professional Development Committee
This space hosted a new mentoring program as well as a competition to decide the theme of the next talent attraction event.
Magazine
The Committee make know the magazine by deliver copies of the “Nuclear España” newspaper. Congress participants who visited the stand and took part in the activity were portrayed on the front page, with a futuristic message of optimism despite the newspaper’s classic appearance.
This message was written by the Commission’s members, and although it is fictitious, we hop that the resemblance to reality to be more than just a coincidence.
The photographers hired for the occasion were dressing in period clothing to match the camera and newspaper printing press.
The magazine’s editorial committee hopes that participants enjoyed themselves once again this year and that this activity helped to promote the Nuclear España website and encourage conference attendees to publish their work on it.
Women in Nuclear (WiN)
WiN Spain had a strong presence at the Annual Meeting once again, with a diverse and participatory agenda that reflected the essence of their network: learning, inspiration and connection.
For WiN, attending the SNE is an opportunity to showcase female talent, encourage career development, and continue to have a positive impact on the sector. The most symbolic moment was the traditional group photo, which reflects the unity, visibility and commitment of everyone in this community each year. Additionally, a creative competition was proposed this year: to design a new adventure companion for Alara and Isótopo, our children’s outreach characters.
Events Committee
The Events Committee organizes activities that allow you to have fun, learn new things, and reconnect with colleagues and friends, or perhaps make new ones!
Two activities were held in the #Nucleares space. First, the new activities to be carried out and those already underway were presented. The second activity was the “1, 2, 3 Programs: Participate and Win’ contest, in which the fastest congress member won the grand prize of a VIP pass to attend all the Committee’s activities for a year, accompanied by a guest.
