The motivation for the event was the desire of the Board of Directors to recognize and thank for their work those members who have been members of the Boards of Directors and different Working Committees since 1974.
In addition to those mentioned above, the event was attended by authorities, representants of institutions, organizations, related societies, etc., all of whom have been involved in the SNE’s development over the years.
Although the event, properly speaking, took place in the Chamber Hall of the Auditorium, the lobby became an emotional first meeting point for all the guests, members who have performed this work in the past and members who currently perform it. The 50th Anniversary poster / mural / photocall, mounted in the lobby, served as a backdrop to give a good account of these meetings.
In the Chamber Hall, the tribute and gratitude had materialized in their welcome speeches by Emilio Mínguez and Paulo Santos, president and vice-president of the SNE. Their words not only looked back to the 50 years already passed, but also to all those that the future should bring to the Spanish Nuclear Society.
After the words of both and Yllana’s presentation, Maestrissimo began. Maestrissimo is a show “allegro e molto vivace”, halfway between chamber concert, satirical comedy and period portrait, which shows, in the purest Yllana style, the adventures and misadventures of a string quartet in an indeterminate period between the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries (Baroque and Neoclassicism).
According to those present, it was a great success to program this show. Yllana’s performance in the auditorium deserved a thunderous ovation from everyone.
Again, sharing memories, experiences, … was present in the cocktail that was served at the end of the show in the adjoining halls to the Chamber Hall itself.
One last detail was still waiting for those present, to get a copy of the commemorative book of the 50th Anniversary. Magnificently edited, the book collects the greetings and congratulations received, that of King Felipe VI among others, a journey through the history of the SNE, its members, its Working Committees, the annual meetings, the magazine, … At the conclusion of all the acts of celebration of the 50th Anniversary will be published a digital version of it with links to the video and photo reports of every one of the events and activities that are taking place during this year.
