Artificial intelligence, nuclear safety and radiation protection

The application of artificial intelligence in the nuclear industry and technology has had an important benefit for society; in fact, artificial intelligence techniques are being applied on some specific aspects in nuclear and radioactive installations. This forces us to face essential questions in the fields of ethics and law, and in the cases its use is related to nuclear safety and radiological protection, it also poses a challenge to regulation, with the nuclear regulatory authorities of each country tasked with analysing these issues and defining strategies which guarantee these tasks are carried out within this context.
