The space was dedicated to the 50th Anniversary of the SNE. Members of the GT50 Working Group were there supporting the different Commissions and attending to all the congressmen.
The activities of each of the Commissions are described below, highlighting the interest shown and the high degree of participation.
- 50th Anniversary Working Group – Children’s story
The activities in the #nuclear space began with the presentation of the children’s story Alara y la Fábrica de Luz, with a reading giving life to the characters of Alara and her inseparable stuffed animal IsóTopo. Attendees enjoyed an energetic chocolate and churros recreating the story. The space was decorated with several IsóTopo stuffed animals and panels of the characters.
In addition to the paper version, a digital version is available on the SNE website (Alara y la Fábrica de Luz – sne.es).
- Employment and Professional Development Commission
This Commission offered several activities aimed at promoting its talent development initiatives in the nuclear sector. Highlight the role-playing exercise of the mentoring program. Magnets and bookmarks with a QR code were provided to directly access the Commission’s Employment Portal. It also included a “STOP EMERGENCY” button in its action that, when pressed, informed about the improvements implemented this year in the Employment Portal. Finally, an awards ceremony was held for the mentees who were part of this year’s mentoring program.
- Terminology Commission
The Terminology Commission were present in the #nuclear space showing a poster that summarized the most relevant milestones in its history, also being a small tribute to all its members over time. This Commission is the cornerstone in the task of disseminating nuclear knowledge in Spain, highlighting as a result of its work the SNE Dictionary which grows and is updated every year, providing a valuable tool for the translation of specialized documents. - Editorial Commission of the Magazine
In addition to making numerous paper magazines available to congressmen, this Commission prepared a game that consisted of throwing balls at a target that includes the history of the SNE and writing a message related to the correct decade. The message is placed on the kiosk, which reproduces the content of the Newspaper Library on the Nuclear España portal. Three messages were selected and an apron was given to their authors that remembers “What is cooked in the magazine”.
- Women in Nuclear España (WiN) Commission
In this space, WiN presented the models used in its STEM talks, key tools for scientific dissemination that the association has developed to bring nuclear science and technology closer to the general public and students.
I also present the face-to-face activities that it is preparing, designed to enhance the development of soft skills among its members (effective communication, leadership and change management).
- Program Commission
The Program Commission presented a question and answer game, Kahoot, as entertainment to stimulate knowledge of the Commission with great success among members. - Communication Commission
The Commission’s activity has been a reinforcement of the action to support Almaraz that could be seen on posters in the congress palace and that will continue to be used on social networks. In the #nuclear space, badges were distributed with some of the slogans of these posters and which the congressmen wore throughout the meeting to show their support for Spanish nuclear power plants.
The #SalvemosAlmaraz hastag is the common thread of the campaign to show our support for the continuity of the operation of the C.N. of Almaraz beyond 2027.
- Nuclear Youth (JJNN)
With the space adorned with the logo of the “Save Almaraz” campaign, JJNN distributed more than 600 t-shirts and publicized this initiative, with the aim of raising awareness among professionals in the sector about the critical situation faced by nuclear plants in Spain.
Closing the RA, and with the atmosphere charged with emotion, a group photo was taken in support of the continuity of Almaraz.
