Digital twins provide an uncertain path forward for regulatory acceptance. Throughout history, regulators have dealt with various types of numerical analysis but nothing that integrates multiple avenues of relatively real-time analysis combined with statistics/machine learning as have been presented by the pattern of digital twins. This presentation discusses a potential path forward for regulators to evaluate and accept digital twins for application.
